First acrobatic team confirmed for F-AIR Colombia 2019
One of the most important high-impact air shows in the world will be at F-AIR COLOMBIA 2019. The Thunderbirds, known as the aerial demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force, confirmed its participation to the largest and most important event of the civil and military aeronautical sector of Colombia and one of the most relevants in Latin America.
The Thunderbirds are an air combat commando unit made up of 8 pilots, with a tradition of more than 60 years, that will present a high-risk air show, but safe and entertaining for the spectators, on board airplanes F-16 Fighting Falcon.
The aerial show of this squadron is a mixture of flight training and individual routines composed of around 40 maneuvers. One of their most famous demonstrations is the ‘diamond formation’ made by 4 jets, where the Air Force pilots prove their training and accuracy, while the maximum capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft stand out.
This is a commemorative fair of the Colombian aerospace industry that wants to position Antioquia as a motor and showcase the industry in the country.
This will be the IX edition of F- Air Colombia 2019, the most important civil and military aeronautical meeting in Colombia that will arrive at the José María Córdova Airport from July 11 to 14 in Rionegro, Antioquia.
