The launch of F-AIR CONNECTION 2021 was carried out with total success, the most important meeting of the aeronautical industry in the country

The X version of the International Aeronautical Fair is preparing to start engines from November 2 to 5 of this year in the virtual platform specially designed to offer the best of the civil aviation and defense industry in a virtual space that promotes the reactivation of the air sector in the conditions imposed in the midst of the pandemic.
The launching of F-AIR COLOMBIA CONNECTION 2021 was attended by the Minister of Transportation Ángela María Orozco, the Minister of Defense Diego Molano, the Director of Civil Aeronautics, Jair Orlando Fajardo Fajardo and the Commander of the Colombian Air Force, General Ramsés Rueda Rueda, to reaffirm the commitment of the transportation and defense sectors to give a strong boost to the reactivation and development of the national aviation industry.

The launching of the X version of F-AIR COLOMBIA, the most important platform of the country's aeronautical industry, was successfully held. This year it became F-AIR COLOMBIA CONNECTION 2021, an event organized by the Colombian Civil Aeronautics and the Colombian Air Force, which will bring together the most representative companies of the civil aviation and defense industry from November 2 to 5.

During the event, the Minister of Transportation, Ángela María Orozco, stated that "the resilience of the sector allows us to see its recovery with optimism, therefore, scenarios as important as the International Aeronautical Fair, which traditionally takes place in Rionegro, this year has a fundamental objective, to become the fundamental scenario to promote the reactivation of the industry and the promotion of air transport as an engine of economic recovery and air connectivity of Colombia with the world".

For his part, the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano, highlighted the importance of this virtual platform for the development of the industry, and highlighted the delivery of the Quimbaya aircraft to the Colombian Air Force by the Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation within the framework of F-AIR CONNECTION 2021.

For his part, the director general of the Civil Aeronautics, Jair Orlando Fajardo Fajardo, stressed the importance of this event that "seeks to strengthen the Colombian aeronautical industry as an important supplier of certified aeronautical parts and components for the region, to become a focal point for the production of light and unmanned aircraft, while promoting aircraft maintenance and repair services; Additionally, he pointed out that it is essential to open spaces for investment and exchange of international companies, which find in our country the possibility of expanding their markets".

For General Ramses Rueda Rueda, commander of the Colombian Air Force, F-AIR CONNECTION 2021 will allow to show "the inspiration with which we grow as a Force and a new frontier, the stars, also allow the air sector to reach new heights. Innovations for the air, space and cyberspace domain, crucial for security and defense, will allow us to share our advances in aerospace medicine, communications, remotely piloted aircraft, satellite technology, multi-domain command and control, among other fields that are determinant for the success of increasingly ambitious goals."

"F-AIR CONNECTION 2021 attendees will be able to find stands, technical talks, business roundtables, brand activations and a rich academic agenda that will feature high-level national and international speakers and panelists. From the Air Force we will have the Air and Space Power Seminar and within the framework of the Fair we will have the Second Meeting of Women in Aviation, organized by the Civil Aeronautics, among other interesting topics that will be part of the meeting," said Colonel Rolando Aros Riaño, director of the fair and deputy director general of the Civil Aeronautics.

All virtual spaces are designed and intended to strengthen the reactivation of the industry and the aviation sector in the midst of the pandemic conditions facing the world and will be available to attendees between November 2 and 5, 2021.
