Rionegro, Antioquia, April 2, 2025. The José María Córdova Airport in Rionegro, Antioquia, will be the venue where more than 180 exhibitors, experts, industry representatives, and aviation enthusiasts will gather to enjoy the twelfth edition of F-AIR Colombia from July 9 to 13, 2025.
"F-AIR COLOMBIA 2025 is a showcase of Colombia's aviation capabilities and is recognized worldwide every two years. This year, with Sweden as the guest of honor, it will be a venue that, from Rionegro, will not only allow us to enjoy impressive air shows but also a rich academic agenda and the opportunity to demonstrate how the country is making great strides in the production of sustainable fuels that will make aviation cleaner. Additionally, it will be possible to be part of a new version of F-DRONE, a very important showcase of unmanned aviation," highlighted Liliana Ospina Arias, Acting Director General of Aerocivil.
With the Kingdom of Sweden as the guest of honor, a nation leading in innovation, sustainability, and technological development, more than 53,000 attendees will create spaces for dialogue and knowledge on topics such as aircraft maintenance and repair (MRO), sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), and actions specific to the Defense sector, among others.
"For Sweden, it is an honor to be the guest country at this edition of F-Air. We proudly accept this invitation, which reflects a history of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Colombia spanning over 150 years. The Swedish aeronautical and space industry has been an economic engine and also a symbol of our commitment to innovation and sustainability. We want to share our experience in this edition and reflect together on how we envision the aviation of the future. We are convinced that, in addition to cutting-edge technology, the aeronautical and space sector is a protagonist in sustainable development, teamwork in favor of innovation, gender equality, and much more," said Helena Storm, Ambassador of Sweden in Colombia.
At Antioquia's most important air terminal, 100,000 square meters will be available for this edition of F-AIR, which promises to demonstrate the advances in which Colombia works daily to be an international reference and enable the world to have close interaction and a wide spectrum of physical, technological, human, and environmental resources in the aeronautical industry and civil and official aviation.
As part of the scheduled activities, attendees will be able to enjoy F-DRONE 2025, which will once again explore and showcase to the public the advances in unmanned aviation under the leadership of Civil Aeronautics and the Colombian Aerospace Force, which each year demonstrates that Colombia is advancing rapidly with innovation, technology, regulation, and knowledge, and is increasingly becoming a global reference.
Additionally, visitors to this edition will be able to enjoy air shows, which this year the Aerospace Force has prepared with the Texan T-6 aircraft squadron and the acrobatic team 'Arpía 51', led by military pilots trained to perform high-precision and complex maneuvers due to the aerodynamic composition of the aircraft, which will undoubtedly increase the excitement of the attendees.
Likewise, in the Antioquian sky, the "Águila de Gules" parachute team will perform free-fall demonstrations, executing maneuvers with smoke grenades, forming figures in the air with the national tricolor, while on the ground, Special Air Operations Commandos will showcase the integration of terrestrial, aerial, and satellite means used in personnel search and rescue missions.
